Looking for parents of Henry Bailey, b. 1823.

Query by IanBailey

I believe Henry Bailey was born 1823, married Ann Cornwall and then
moved to New Zealand with two children in 1860 on the Roman Emporer.
Henry was one of the early settlers in New Zealand and settled in a
place called Le Bons Bay and had a total of six children.
I have been trying to find details of Henry prior to his marriage
to Ann Cornwall.

Do not have any info on this but am in early stages of searching my family history. This Henry Bailey is my great great grandfather. My father was Rex Bailey, the second of two children born of the second marriage of my paternal grandfatherw who came to NZ aged about 2-3 years... Are we related? Where are you? I live in Oxford, with my husband Cyril Chapman and my son George Chapman who is at university here.

I have only just discovered your response to my message dated almost two years ago. So sorry. I have tried hard to fill in the gaps regarding Henry Bailey.Henry lived in Durham, Sunderland before leaving for N.Z. There is good evidence of Henry immediately prior to his departure and evidence regarding the birth of his two children in Manchester. I have the B. Certificate of Robert Cornwall b. 1859. I have tried in vain to find the marriage of Henry and Ann.
Do you think we may be related? I am a new Zealander but have lived in Saudi Arabia for the last 14 years. I would be pleased to hear from you but I cannot expect a miracle after amost two years.
