Have you found the parents of your gggfather married to Concetta Locicero because Gaetano Miller and Concetta LoCicero from Malta are my gggparents too and as far as I know they only had two daughters, one of whom died at the age of 19. The other daughter Enrichetta was my great grandmother. However Gaetano adopted two children, a girl who died a spinster in the family home and a son who I have no record of. I would be very interested in any information you might have.

YES Gaetano's parents were GIUSEPPE ( JOSEPH) MILLER married to GENEROSA GATT no dates unfortunately.
According to my books my GGF ( his son )was Giuseppe Miller married to Alessandrina Tagliaferro married 19 August 1876 possibly the adopted son you mention born Valletta 1847 deceased 1918.

Would it be possible to let me know the names of any children that Giuseppe had? I could also let you know how your great grandfather got to be adopted and his sister's name, I think, was Giuseppina and as she got older she was known as Zia (aunt) Peppin.

Giuseppe Miller is buried at the Addolorata Cemetery in Malta together with Gaetano but I cannot find any record of Concetta Lo Cicero, his wife. Do you know anything about her? You probably have already found the record of burial of Gaetano and Giuseppe on Google.

Giuseppe Miller and Alessandrina Tagliaferro had at least 2 daughters and 1 son : Emma ( my grandmother ), Rosa and Henry and possibly another daughter Luisa.
I plan to go to Malta in the near future and visit my Grandmother's grave ( could be the Addolorata Cemetery.)
Concetta Locicero married Gaetano 2 December 1854 in Valletta ( San Paolo ) was daughter of Antonio and Rosa Corlett.
However Gaetano married again 2 February 1858 Irene Mamo D/o Michele & Carolina Bruno. Does all this coincide with your findings ?

I just stumbled on this and I'm wondering if this will be the piece to my missing puzzle.
My Miller family is from Malta and I found out that my GGGG Grandfather came over from Ireland to Malta in 1826 (he was in the Rifle Brigade). His name was Edward Miller (and apparently went by Thomas). When I had my DNA done, I have 0% results DNA from anywhere in the UK. Maybe this is a link to the puzzle of having an adopted son?! Edward had a son named Enrico (Henry) Miller born in 1829. He married Lucrezia Schembri. And they had a son named Francesco. (Not sure yet if there were more siblings in these ancestors). Maybe this is a shot in the dark.

Do you both have your DNA done? Perhaps we can see if we match? My GEDmatch # is A917997
