Im looking for my great grandfathers mother. On his birth certificate, her name is shown as Phoebe Griffiths. There is no maiden name therefore im unsure if she was married at the time of his birth. My great grandfathers name was Willie Griffiths and was born in 1914. There was no mention of a father on the birth certificate. Acording to some family stories, his father died at sea de to an emergency opperation for appendicitis. Willie was born at ffynnonwerfil, pentregat in cardiganshire, also known as Wervil brook or wervil grange. I know where this is but cannot find Phoebe.
