Looking for related Hanson family of Canada / Sweden

Query by chanson

My grandfather Karl Gustav Hansson was born in Tranas Parish, Skane, Sweden on March 25 , 1884. He came to Canada in 1900 , had his 16th Birthday aboard ship. He went by Charles Hanson once in Canada. He married my grandmother Hanna Katarina (daughter of Anders and Kristina Olsson) on July 7 1907 in North Portal , Saskatchewan. His parents remained in Sweden but he was accompanied by all his brothers( Rasmus ,Nels Magnus , George , Frank John Alfred , Ernest , Louis , Richard and Herman ) to Canada , although one brother , Nels Magnus , returned to Sweden. I'm interested in corresponding with any relatives with similar interests in our family ancestry.

Dear chanson, Hi there. Below is a link to a website which contains information from the 1870, 1880, 1890 and 1900 Swedish censuses, mostly in Swedish (sorry). It is part of the Swedish National Archives. If you don't read Swedish, perhaps you can get a relative to help, and/or find a 'translate this page' site on the internet.

SVAR-Svensk arkivinformation.

Hello, My Great Grandfather was Martin Hansson born in Perstorp, Kristianstadn (Skane) Sweden on Sept. 4, 1855. He emigrated in 1893 on a steamship from Gothernberg to England, then to Liverpool via train, and to Quebec via steamship. He went to "Swede's Corner" n West Chelmsforn originally then settled in Graniteville, MA. I have much more information. MaryAnn

Hi!

I?m a long distanse cousin to your grandfather. Karl Gustafs mother Elna Gunnarsdotter(Gunnarsdoughter), her mother Karna Svensdotter and her brother Hans Svensson are my grandmothers mothers grandfather. Very complicated but I hope u understand how we are kind of releted. So I have some information but only on your grandfathers mothers side. Karl Gustav(f)had a sister but she died early. Nils Magnus died in 1955 june 5, his wife died according what I have found in the record in 1936 in may 3. I haven?t found deth record on their parents.

Have a happy new year :-)

Anna
