I wonder if you could help me , well direct me into how to research a query. Here we go. Cornelius and Ruth had a son called William he was born in 1850 in Manchester, Lancashire, England. William is my 2nd Gt Grandfather, and his Father was called Jubil Corfield born 1872.I just cant find his whereabouts on the 1851 or 1861 census, as you can see by the cenuses you sent me hes not there. I would just like to point out that Ruth and Cornelius had twelve children. William would be one year old in 1851, maybe he is living with a sibling of Cornelius,its really a mystery to me, would love any info on how i can find William. If William was born 1850 Manchester and is your 2nd grt Grandfather his father can't be Jubil as Jubil was baptised 1872 son of William & Ellen.

William Corfield with son Jubil - might be Cornelius son but he is not on any census with the rest of the family. He William son of Cornelius may have died shortly after birth. He may have been living with his grandparents but why is there no father on the marriage reg ? He might be from another family.

I use this site for all my research.The thing is Corn and Ruth Had 12 Children some of these are not showing on this Census Cornelius born 1838 Joseph born 1837, Betsey born 1844. theyre not shown on the 1861 census.I am suspecting that when they moved to Manchester from Staffordshire an maybe took on the farriers arms. some of thier children stayed with Corneliuss siblings, not even showing on Censuses either. Its all a mystery, but so much hard work form me, ive beenmresearching this for over iyr, and still struggling.Its certainly a struggle. Thanks for all your help spose ill get there in the end.My name and my familyss names have allbeen placed on the site Corfield Port 5, so maybe Ancestry have the answers. I do contact site manager, and he also helps me with info .
