My father was the son of Leslie Russell Jones, born Armidale, to Thomas William and Katherine (Kathleen) Jones. His parents divorced when he was a toddler and he never knew his Jones family, and has never even seen pictures of them. He would love to find some living Jones relative to write, or eventalk to.

All attempts to find out where Jones cousins/second cousins might be have been unsuccessful. We have been able to track down his uncle's death certificates, but no living relatives. His father, Leslie had two brothers, who both had children.

Thomas Philip James Jones married Gertrude Agnes Taffe in Hamilton, Newcastle, in 1928. He died in 1948 in Concord Repatriation Hospital, but had been living at The Power Station Newcastle and worked for the railway. According to his death certificate they had three children: Desmond K, born 1929, Patrick J, born 1935 and Sally K, born 1937.

Dallas Raymond Jones, born 1911, Armidale married Lena Frances Nelson, or Nielsen. He died at St Vincent's Hospital, Daringhurst in 1964 and had been living in Darlinghurst. He was a baker. According to his death certificate they had five children: raymond, born 1931, Kevin, born 1934, Patricia, born 1935, Jean born 1938 and Janice born 1941.
