Looking for Rellies of Hector McDonald of Cairns Nth Queensland Australia

Query by bstmum

Hi my name is John. I'm nearly 60, am disabled, & looking for living reletives in Scotland of my wife's who had a grandfathet by the name of Hector Mc Donald who lived in Cairns Queensland ( died in the late 1970's from memory). He had been married more than once. his last wife's name was Anne, & his previous wife was Esmay (or Esma).
I am not very computer literate having just begun dealing with this necessary evil & finding it very challinging. I was hoping to get through life without having to deal with such a monster, but may find some rewards along with the challange.
I know that "Mc Donald" is a very comon name & half the world is either a Mc Donald or related to one but I suppose I have to start somewhere. A site like this is a real plus, so many thanks to the instigators. It just blows my mind to think of the hours it would take to create.
Any help from anyone would be appreaciated as I really havn't a clue what I'm doing.
John

Hi there,

My great grandfather's name was Hector McDonald, and it is quite possible that he lived in North Queensland. My grandfather (his son)'s name was Blair Hector Gordon McDonald, and was the only child of his parent's first marriage. My great grandmother's name was Maud, not Esmay. I believe they divorced in the 1940s? We always knew Hector remarried and had another family, but never anything about them.
