MY Gr Grandmother is Annie E. Rogers She married Richard Allen Wilkerson. Her Parents were Franklin A. Rogers and Eliza J. whitson his parents were William Aduston Rogers And Jane Morgan. I am looking for both sides of these families and would like to trace our indian heritage as well as the family names. thank u for any help u can give me. Gr Grandmother Annie E. Rogers Published An Article in A news paper Some time before she Passed away in 1933we beleive it was called The Life OF Annie E. I am researching the same family lines (Wilkerson, Rogers, Morgan, Whitson, Jernigan,etc). My line is through Richard Allen Wilkerson and Annie Elizabeth Rogers daughter Ivie Jane Wilkerson who married George Warren Jernigan. Ivie and George's son Claude Jernigan married Alice Olene Waldrop. Claude and Olene were my husband's grandparents. We lost Gramma Olene recently (Dec 3, 2010). I wish I'd seen your post earlier as she was very alert and may have given us some information.

I had never heard of Annie E Rogers Wilkerson publishing a story of her life. I have access to some older newspapers, but could not find her story as yet. Have you found her published story? She was in Long Beach, CA 5 weeks before she died (and may have died there). I have a copy of a letter she sent Claude and Olene on June 6, 1933. She said she and son Anthony had arrived there on June 1st. Do you know if she published her story in Calfornia or in Texas?
