It has been a bit of mystery trying to get information on my Rogers ancesters and family currently alive. I am looking for information on the Rogers family around Crossville TN, Cumberland County.

Ruth Katherine Hill (Rogers, Allen) is my grandmother. William Edward "Ed" Rogers is my father. His brothers are Billy L and James Freddie. His sisters are Mary Nicols and Florence Scoggins.

Anything would be helpful.

My father is Larry Rogers, and I'm trying to trace his descendants who fought in the Revolutionary War and received land in Jackson County Tennessee (not far from Crossville, I believe) as payment for military duty. Larry's dad was Sylvester Charley Rogers, born 6-7-1893, to Robert Oliver Rogers and Mary Martha Jane Johnson. They married and lived in Cooke County, Tenn., in the 1880s and had 10 children, but I only know Sylvester Charley (S.C.) and Thelma.

Is there a connection?
