Hi, I looked on AmericanAncestors.org for your Samuel C. Foss. They had no-one by that name being born in Massachusetts between 1823-1826. Maybe Samuel was born in NH? Eileen

Ray, I expanded the research years on AmericanAncestors.org and came up with this: Samuel born to Samuel and Thomasine Foss Bp. 3 August 1828 in Massachusetts.
Also I went to the State Library today and looked for the "Foss Genealogy" Found a genealogy by (1) Frank Foss - Born 1880 - the genealogy was dated 5 May 1966. Frank Foss must be deceased by now.
I donot know if this work would help you. If you want a copy, let me know and I will mail a copy to you.

There is also another Samuel Foss and family that lived around the the seacoast area of NH. Eileen

Eileen,

Thank you so much for doing this research for me. I am trying to get some info on the book you mentioned to see if it would help. It was listed on amazon but is out of print. It was so good of you to offer but I don't want to take advantage of your king generosity if I'm not sure. Of course I would reinburse you for any cost. I started to do some research for you but realized that if you are a member of Ancestry.com I would just be repeating what you already have. Please let me know.

Thanks again

Ray
