eastville - Thank you for your information. It seems likely that my Sarah GRIFFITHS was probably born in 1814 as at the time of her death on 17th September 1843in VDL she was in her 28th year. - Deni.

noggin - Thank you for your information. On Sarah GRIFFITHS marriage certificate in VDL on 14th November 1842 it states that she was a convict on the "Navarino" aged 27 years. She married Solomon HILL. Sarah GRIFFITHS (Navarino) applied for permisssion to marry Solomon HILL (Free)on 19th Oct. 1842. Ref: Con. 52/2 P82.
On her Convict records they have got the comments on behavior mixed on the two Sarah Griffiths on the "Navarino". My Sarah Griffiths was Con. no. 239 the other was 242. The last comment on 239 was made on 19th Oct.1843 but mine was dead by then. My Sarah's native place was Llangollen, Wales. She was tried for Larceny and sentenced to 7 years in VDL. She was tried at Chester Azzize Court 1 April 1840 aged 26 years.
Thank you for your suggestioins & web sites, I will check them out.
