The Advertiser 10 December 1930
... BILSBOROW-STEHBENS - The marriage was celebrated at the Edithburgh Methodist Church on December 2 of Harry, son of Mr and Mrs Billsborow of Carlisle Street, Ethelton to Eva, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Stehbens of Edithburgh.
The ceremony was performed by the Rey. J. C. Barrett, and Mr Horace Jordan presided at the organ. The bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle Mr C. T. Jenzen. The wedding gown was fashioned or Ivory crepe satin. A deep V centre front lent a soft finish to the closely moulded long-sleeved bodice, the sleeves terminating in tiny flares of georgette over the wrists. From a wide hip swathe the flared skirt hung in graceful folds to the instep. Over the frock hung a silk embroidered tuile veil, arranged with a tiara of orange blossom and seed pearls finishing in a tiny train. White court satin shoes and a shower bouquet of sweet peas, roses, and maidenhair fern completed the ensemble.
When leaving the church Miss M. Stehbens, of Alberton, aunt at the bride, hung a horseshoe on the bride's arm. There were two attendants; Misses Myrtle Bilsborow (sister of the bridegroom) and Melva Jenzen (cousin of the bride. Their frocks were carried out in powder blue and shell pink respectively.
The best man was Mr. Walter Gericke (cousin of the bridegroom) and Mr. Glen Stehbens, (brother of the bride) was groomsman.
The bride's mother wore a frock of black crepe de chine with fawn trimmings and hat to match. Navy crepe de chine relieved with beige and a smart hat to tone was selected by the mother of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents.
The bride travelled in a navy crepe satin frock, with two-tiered flared skirt.
