Looking for the Creed's from Illinois & Missouri Areas.
I am researching My mothers side of our tree with not alot of information from family sources.Unfortunatly It would be for me to have kids of my own that I would come to realize how little I knew or was told about the hardships, struggles or background from which my existence comes.
I got very little information from my mother about my fathers famliy, her memory not terrific due to health issues, I never met my father or those from his immediately family that I share bloodline with.(Father is Donald R. Turner, Indiana area). My Grandmother passed away before I was to realize just how valuable any facts or information would become.
With all the information exchanged via computer and other technology living so busy being what we are instead of who we are. Generations lost history of families origins, culture and of places that were home. I plan on giving my children some of that past back and to honor my family's history as I discover the origin of my own family's history during the journey back.
The family background I am working with is My grandmother(mom Side)
Maiden name is Creed, her name Stella Irene, Her mother Della Creed and Father Ben Creed. Lived in O fallon, Illinois and Missouri. Grandmother graduated from high school in a town called Bell City Mo. The name of the town has been changed because I can't find it on a map presently. My Grandmother had a Sister named Oveda(not sure spelled this way or not), and Brother by name of Merle Creed. My Great grandmother Della Creed had a twin sister that died around 5 years of age the twins run in our family my mother had a identical twin that died several years ago, her name was, Della Dees (maiden- name.)

This research will be something I able to not only leave somtthing from myself but small parts of each person that came before us even long after we have gone from this planet. My hope is my children keep our history alive by passing it to the next generation and instructing that generation how to honor our family's history by passing it onto the next generation to be cared for.
Anyone can E-mail me with questions or inquiries at: snorkeldorf4@aol.com
Dear Snorkeldorf, Hi there. I appreciate your thoughts and sharing them with us. I'm kind of trying to do a similar thing. It's really incredible to realise that we are here because of all those who have gone before.
I'll try to see what I can dig up on your CREED DEES and TURNER surnames.
Q.How are you going to store all your precious data? If you decide that a wordprocessing document would be best, have a read of my journals, I have one in there on a FREE book that you can download. Insert photographs, talk about courtship of your parents, all the intangible things that make the story.
Best of luck,
Alison
