I knew a Henry Kirchner, as a pen-pal, during part of the 1960s and 1970s. He was born in Oklahoma, and when I knew him he lived in the Dallas, Texas area. He was a very interesting person.

Henry Lee Kirchner was born on March 6, 1930, in Hardeman County, Texas. His parents were William Jennings Bryan Kirchner, and Mamie (or Mary) Coleman.

He was a Korean-era Veteran, and a printer in various towns in Texas and Oklahoma. His wife was Patsy. He worked for Jaggers-Chiles Stovall, in the 1960s, and for the Dallas News, in the 1970s.

He died on May 11, 1975, near his home at 4117 Fernwood Drive, in Garland, a Dallas suburb, and is buried at Eufala, Oklahoma, in McIntosh County.

I don't know if his widow is deceased, or not, and I don't even remember the names of his two children. However, I'd be interested in finding out more, about them.

Henry was my father. He actually had three children. He adopted my oldest brother when he and my mother married. I did not know that Steve was a half brother until I came across his birth certificate after my father's death. I don't think that was hidden from anyone, I was just 6 years younger and it never occurred to anyone that they needed to tell me, he was my brother, and my dad was his dad.

My mother is still alive, although she is in the latter stages of Parkinson's Disease. She lost her second husband 8 yesars after she married him. She still lives in the house on Fernwood.
