Looking for the USA family of CHARLES FRANKLIN SMITH BURT born Northhampton, Hampshire, MA. USA. 1843

Charles Franklin Smith BURT was born to ELI and KEZIAH BURT in 1843. His two siblings were SOPHIA BURT b.1834 and JAMES M BURT b.1835.He moved to New Zealand where he was Naturalised in 1899. He married Elizabeth Ann Avery, Taita, Wellington in 1872. He died in 1917 and is buried at Mangatainoka, Pahiatua New Zealand.

I am aware of the grave of my ggrandparents Charles Franklin Smith Burt and Elizabeth Ann Burt(nee Avery)at Mangatainoka, Pahiatua NZ. There are many members of Burt and Avery families in the same cemetery. Try as we have for many years we have been unable to trace the USA family of CFS Burt.
barbidoll on 2014-04-07 04:20:48Hello ngairedith. I now realise the reason for your last post. It is useful to have the inscription on the grave headstone up on the FTC site. There is now some reason to believe that DOB for CFS Burt may have been 1843. Thank you.
