I am knew to this site and my research is sporadic but John Flanagan came to Australia on the Emperor in 1851 with his siblings and mother. I do not know Mary's maiden name. I do not know a great deal about John but am glad to help if I can as my great grandfather, Martin Flanagan (Norton on shipping records) is one of John's brothers.

When they arrived in Australia they first settled at Morpeth and after a while some moved to Wybong and John moved to Scone. They came from County Clare but I cannot be more specific than that.

Hi Nola,
John married Mary Ann CASEY 16 August 1854 at Raymond Terrace NSW. She was the daughter of Daniel/Donald Casey and Catherine Kennedy, who lived at Miller's Forest NSW. They were also from County Clare.
