I am trying to trace my families history and am looking for the names above.

My Grandparents on one side link with the surnames Thompson and White and they were based around Binbrook area in Lincolnshire.
My Grandparents on the other side link in with the surnames Vernon, Brookes and Needham and they are from the Yorkshire area.

I have found a family member who served in WW2 and was in RAF Melksham in Wiltshire, RAF Broughton Nr Brigg, Lincolnshire and he went out to Iceland. I am still looking to find out what other medals he earned apart from the defence medal that I have evidence of.

If anyone has information that they feel they can share, I would be most grateful.

I have a William Needham born c.1821 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire and his daughter Eliza born Saddleworth, Yorkshire married William Henry Taylor.
She died 10 April 1911 in Oldham, Lancashire, England.
