Looking for VISSER ancestors South Africa

My Grandfather, Hendrik Gideon Visser farmed in Garies in 1918. He married Ethel Grace DELPORT from the farm Lamloch, Kleinmond. He had a sister called Joey VISSER who lived in Hermanus. Some years later, around 1923 the family moved to a farm at Hemel-en-Aarde, with their two children, Hendrik Delport VISSER and Beth VISSER. Later years they moved to Hermanus and he had a garage/service station in the Main Rd,opposite the Allen's Cinema (Basil Allen and his father).When Delport was 15 the garage went bankcrupt and they may have moved to Cook Street in Claremont after that.

Possibly in 1946 Delport VISSER moved back to Hermanus ad worked as a clerk at the Hermanus Railway Station. Delport VISSER married Engela Magdalena OTTO 11 Sept.1941. They had one daughter born 22 July 1942,
Sonja VISSER.

There were a lot of VISSER's around Garies. Do you think Hendrik was born in the Netherlands and migrated there? I did find one Hendrik Gideon but he wasn't born till 1920. Have you looked through immigration records? I'll keep looking for you. might get lucky, Jan

hi, my grandfather also came from garies, nuwerus area and moved to namibia to work but al his brothers and sisters stayed behind in south africa. i am looking for them they had no contact, i will get all the full name names and post again. Gerhardus is definetly a family name of us as well. i would appreaciate feedback.
