I have tried unsuccessfully to trace my grandfathers (George Hawksley Ward 1906-1942)fathers line-George Ernest Ward. As my grandfathers marriage certificate does not contain the age or place of birth of his father, I have tried to search in the 1901 census and 1881. By 1906, he was living on Hawksley Road Stoke Newington then Oldfield Road. If anyone out there is researching Wards in this area please contact me. George Ernest Ward may have had many siblings and may not have originated from Islington!He married Florence Emily Whiston in 1905.
