Mathan Thomas Sr. was born August 24, 1884 to the parents of Jack and Nancy (maiden name James) of Polk, Texas.

They were sister's of Pleas Walker and all were the children of Minerva Bogan-Walker, Pleas was my grandfather, the son of Pleasant Walker. Bessie, Dessie and Clarice were reportedly the children of Jeffery Mayo. In the census of 1900 Minerva is married to King Roberts, members of the household were Jeffery Walker who is identified as a step-son to the head of household,Bessie, Dessie and Leo Calep who is identified as a grandson are members of King and Minerva?s household. Minerva was my g-grand mother She was born in 1853 in Alabama, her mother was Jane Bogan, I don't believe Bogan was Jane's maiden name because she is listed as divorced in the 1880 census and widowed in the census of 1910.
