Looking for WILLIAM EASTWOOD born Toronto Canada 1858

Query by DesmondLouis

William Eastwood is a step brother of my Grandfather born 1886 Leicester England.John William Eastwood born to Anne Matilda Eastwood aged 32 1886.Anne Matilda's husband William aged 52 died 8 months previous to John William's birth.William aged 52 was previously married to Elizabeth Eastwood who died in 1874.William and Elizabeth also had a son William who was born in Toronto Canada in 1858 shown on the UK 1871 census but was not with the family on the 1881 census.I tried elswhere in the UK census but could not find him.Iam now trying Canada because John William immigrated to Canada in 1905 and Iam trying to establish if he went to Canada because he had a family connection.John William married and eventually came to New Zealand in 1913 and then enlisted in NZ army and went to WW1 and fought at the Battle of the Somme.John William was wounded and discharged from the Army in 1917 and requested to be returned to Canada.Instead of going to New Zealand he spent 12 months in Canada before returning to NZ.I want to find out if he made contact with any relatives such as William Eastwood born 1858 who would be 60 in 1917 and may have had children.Anne Matilda died 1888 and the family of many adult children dispersed leaving my grandfather John William in a Work House. My grandfather never recovered from WW1 and spent 40 years in Mental home in Adelaide Australia and died 1958.My own father Victor Gilbert was born on the ship Victorian sailing to the UK 1912 was placed in an Industrial school in NZ in 1917 and never really knew his parents.
