Through my research I understand that my WORTMANS were from Pennsylvania. I know that in 1776, my ggggrandmother Elizabeth, was born in Easton, Northampton county in eastern Pennsylvania.I don't know her maiden name. I know that she married David WORTMAN, had 2 sons Samuel and William Herod. I read in Find-A-Grave that all of the family rode a flat bottom boat down the Ohio, up the Mississippi to the Rock River and then to Rockford Illinois in 1848. I have some information on the next generation but I can't seem to find any information (birth, death, parents, siblings) for David Wortman, my ggggrandfather. I have a picture of my ggggrandmother's gravestone which mentions David as her husband, but that's it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!My email address is rwortman6675@hotmail.com.
