The Wentworth Genealogy vol 3 contains a short section of "Wentworth's whose origin is unknown.". I have traced a family of Wentworth's from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia back into this section of the books and the last known relative was Luke Wentworth born 1790. His mother was supposedly Martha Gage.
I have not been able to locate any information on Luke's father or mother (other than her name).
Perhaps someone may have some info?

Luke was born 27 Sep 1790 in Dover, NH. His son Jeremiah was born 9 Jun 1819 in Lee, NH. Jeremiah's son, William Francis was born 1853 in Easton, MA and moved to Cape Breton around 1901 and died there 26 Oct 1924. I have, as you can see, much information back to Luke then it dries up completely.
