I posted a query regarding the Paterson family's travel dates to Melbourne Australia:

I have since found an entry: Agnes Paterson with five (5) children under the assisted passenger list
on the MERCHANT PRINCE 29th March 1858 .page 11A

William Paterson b.1825 Agnes (Aird)b.1828 parents of Margret b. 1855 in Larbert Stirling disembarked the Merchant prince at Port melbourne, Australia.

thanks for that Silver vixen I did see those entries and they would be the family of William Paterson aged 15. He is my great great grandfather
