Mary Arnot married to William Haxton of Scotland

Journal by kirra

Mary Arnot was married to William Haxton.
Their daughter Jean was born in Kinghorn, Fife and married in 1811, so I am estimating Mary's birth year to be anywhere from 1775 backwards.

I am looking specifically for info on Mary, but if anyone has any info on the Arnot name in Fife I would appreciate any help.

Many thanks,
Kirra

Have you checked websites: scotlands people AND familysearch.org ?

Also look at:- tribalpages, genesreunited, geneanet, gencircles, rootsweb world connect project, and sign up as free member of rootschat, goto scotland childboard.

My research on familysearch.org took me to 2 generations later than this... I discovered William & Mary through some extensive googling and discovering a distant relative's family tree!
I hold my family tree online at both genesreunited and tribalpages (the tribalpages one is the most up to date).
Am hoping to check scotlands people some time soon. As it is a pay per view site I'm trying all 'free' avenues as well. I've learnt from researching other branches of the family that sometimes you stumble across a wealth of info online, not to mention distant relatives across the world!

Many thanks for the comment. I'm signed up to Rootschat but haven't posted about the Haxtons yet. Must go do that!

Good luck with your own research.

Best Wishes,
Kirra
