Hi.
1895 Queensland State Electoral Roll.
THE ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF LOGAN
Mayes John, freehold, por. 199, 207 and 237,subdiv. 2; portion Subdiv. 2; por 200, subdiv. 1; por 208, parish of Mackenzie.

Mayes John, freehold, Kingston

John Mayes qualified to be on the 1895 electoral roll as a freeholder at Logan and Kingston and the portions of land at Logan on the roll are listed in the parish of Mackenzie. The Qld State Archives may hold a parish map of this era and might show where the land was located at Logan.

Queensland Gazette 14th April 1877, page 1211.
John Mayne was licenced with certificate No 12648 to use a horse and cattle brand V9M for a run or farm at Scrubby Creek with the nearest post town being Logan Reserve.

I have that thanks. But I would like to go back to earlier history if I could. My sister Thelma married Kenneth Daniel Mayes in the 50's.That's how I am related
