I am descended from Nathaniel Maynard, born 1760, from Charles City Virginia. His widow, Elizabeth Matthews Maynard, and some of the family moved to Georgia. Elizabeth and some of the family are buried in the old Maynard Cemetery near Winder, Barrow County, Georgia. I was born and raised nearby in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia.

From Nathaniel and Elizabeth, my line is through their son John (Rebecca Walls); Charles (Lucy Paris); Thomas P. (Philobell Hinesley);
Robert Lee (Levada Sikes); Carlton Charles Sr. (Catherine Bradley); and me, C. Charles Jr. (Rebecca Bush).

I was born in 1943, now retired and living near Tallahassee, FL.

I am especially interested in learning more information about Nathaniel and Elizabeth(parents, other ancestors). Other researchers have reached a dead end other than knowing that Nathaniel served as a corporal in the Revolutionary War.
