Hi, my grandparents surname was McGilp. They lived in Minyip, Victoria Australia. My great grandparents names were Duncan and Ann McGilp and they came out to Australia in the late 1800's. They came from Argyll. They came from Lochgilphead in Scotland.

Hi, my grandfathers name was Archibald Duncan McGilp , my g.grandfathers name was Duncan Alexander McGilp. I have a fair bit of info on the famly, except would like to know why they came to Australia in the first place. I heard there were already cousins living out here, but I hae no info on them. My grandfather had brothers and sisters, but only one brother had a son to carry on the family name. Regards M
