McIntyre Family Tree - GLEN INNES, NSW. Patterson branch
Colin Alexander McIntyre married Dorothy Joan Patterson 27/12/1946 at Liverpool, NSW. Dorothy, was known as JOAN MCINTYRE (DJM1), from the time of her marriage to Colin, to the time that she died. Joan was born in Wagga Wagga, NSW in 1930.
At the time of my husband's birth (1956) Colin (32) and Joan (26)
already had three other children:
Robyn J, 7 years (F); Lesley M, 5 (F) and Vicki A, 4 (F).
My husband was their fourth child - their first and only son.
Colin and Dorothy were separated before my husband's second birhtday.
Colin is reported to have remarried, and may have had more children.
Joan's mother's name was Mary PATTERSON (MP1) (nee Jackson). Joan's mother, Mary JACKSON, knew Ned Kelly's mother. They were neighbours.
Joan's father's name was Norman Patterson (NAP1). He was well known for his expertise in training horses, and his marksmanship. I have been told he was a member of the Light Horse Brigade. A painting of Norman at war in France, with its burning ruins in the background, hung on the wall of my husband's bedroom throughout his childhood. Norman never saw his first grandson. He died before my husband was born. Joan lived at Revesby, NSW, after her separation from Colin, until she retired. She then moved to Coffs Harbour, NSW, and later to Blue Haven, NSW, where she was living when she died.

Thank You allycat. This is great information. I am so glad I found this site. I have been contacted by newfound relatives. My research is going well. Abi.
Think about having your family tree online say at TribalPages (free site which you can upgrade to allow lots of great photos), and also GenesReunited. GenesReunited is great (I have my tree there) as every fortnight you get hot matches with other people's trees ... it does all the hard work for you.
Cheers
from QLD.
Thank You allycat. The ones I have seen and used are frustrating. Will check them out. Bless you!
