Looking for anyone who has genealogical information on the Minges family of Germany. I have a great great grandmother Applonia Minges of Flemlingen who gave birth out of wedlock to my great grandfather, Simon, in Dernbach in 1859. The birth father's name may have been Masser. Four year later she married Michael Johann of Dernbach, thus legitimizing my great grandfather. The family sometime after 1864 moved to her home village of Flemlingen.

These Minges ancestors still have a well-known vineyard and winery in Burrweiler, Rhineland Pfalz, Germany.

My family history in America on one side of my family starts with Nicolas(sp?) Minges from Burweiler Germany. He was a doctor and I believe he practiced here in America and came here with his wife and some or all of their children in the 1700's. I believe they lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. my father took us to visit flemlingen germany and ludwig minges when i was very young. my ancestors that i know of are anna minges and her father valentine minges who was born in germany.
