Looking for Brothers David Alexander Stevenson MUNRO and Thomas Murray Munro.

Death Certificates of both show;

David Married twice, Louisa Dunstan at Invercargill, and Agnes Maitland Campbell at Christchurch.

Thomas married once Ethel Evelyn Kemp at Palmerston North; they had 3 daughters and 4 sons.

Seeking any connection to these two brothers and thomas's issue.

Researching family tree since 1981. I swing on my side branches randomly but swing regularly off my Munro trunk of my tree.

Do you know someone who can help? Share this:

Hello,

I've searched on the BDM site and can't find a marriages for Thomas and Ethel. Also when I searched the births of their children I found that Thomas had had 3 children, two to Ethel and one to Emmeline Ethel. There was nothing when I searched under munro but this appeared under the surname kemp even though he was listed as the father.Just a couple of questions;
Is the Ethel Evelyn the same person as Emmeline Ethel so she must have changed her name? What do you think?
What year where they married in?
If you know the names of their children?
I know you may not know some of this stuff but if you could try help that would be GREAT.
I've just gotten REALLY confused.
Thanks.

From my research, I know Thomas Murray MUNRO was born 1863. from his death certificate I know (the following)he was 73yo and was a labourer at Waharoa, NZ. I know at age 40 he married Ethel Evelyn KEMP, at Palmerston NOrth, NZ. I know that at the time of his death the age of each daughter was 31, 27, and 19; and the age of each son was 33, 29, 24, and 22. His parents (Rev.) David and Margaret (nee Stevenson) MUNRO,are correct on the certificate, also the certificate shows Thomas as born at Caldington Scotland; which I know to be Coldingham, Scotland but will accept the small error on the certificate of this town. Childrens names I do not know and this, with any help, is my new brickwall, dont we just love a brick wall... gives us something to do.
