Hello
My name is Madeleine Janes (known to all as Mandy). My great great grandmother was Rachel Musaphia (born about 1844) and she was your Aaron's sister. I think I've come across you before on Genes Reunited or is that someone with a similar name?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Mandy

Iam Sheila Martin my mother was Rose Martin her mother was Rebecca Musaphia i would like to put my grandmothers pic on the family tree that i have of family going back to Portugal. Also my great grand parents were Joe Musaphia and Jane Haring. I have traced two great uncles the Royston Bros who danced on the stage in the 1900s and went to New Zealand. The other one Emmanuel I have a picture of and his daughter was Josephine Musophia married to John Land. I am so happy to find out about my Portuguese ancestry. I was so sad about never talking to my grandmother rebecca that i frequented Portugal a great deal and bought a property there. sheilamartin10@hotmail.com

Hell everyone. My musaphia descent goes back to Aaron Musaphia whose daughter Jael married Moses Senior Coronel. I have a pretty large digital tree online and would love to invite anyone interested in updating their branch of the tree. It is wonderful to see so many relatives interested in the lineage of the family. email at acidskater@nc.rr.com - Jarrett

Hello everyone, it's great to find this site. I have been discovering a lot about my family tree, so would like to share some of my own knowledge and history. my Grandfather was George Musaphia born 1920, son of Moses Joseph, whose Father was Joseph Aaron the music hall star. I was curious to know if anyone has any information about the rest Of Moses Joseph's (my great grandfather) family? Also interested to find out if anyone knows anything about his first wife 'Hannah' whose maiden name was Annie Pooler.

Hlenaj Emmanuel was the brother of my Great Great Grandfather Joseph Aaron (the musical artist of the Ralston brothers)the name i have for the woman who jacob married was Caroline Carilon.

Mandy, Aaron Jacob was my great great great grandfather, so was the sister of your great grandmother Rachel, so we are distant relatives!

Michael davey, Issac's father was my Aaron jacob was my great great great grandfather! Wouil love to see your tree and find out more about all the various branches.

Maxine, was your Granddfather Joseph born on Oct 26th 1889, and died May 6th 1945 in Manchester? I have information that he had a sister hannah born in 1883, but no record of his older brother Jacob or sister Miriam? could you tell me more about them? Jacob Joseph's father was the son of Aaron Jacob born 1812.

Sheila - Yes i also have a family tree going back to the 1500's in Portugal which was shared with me by someone i met on my heritage.com. I found it interesting to discover the migration from Portugal to Hollamd in the 1600.s and then in the mid 1800's many of the musaphia's came to London to the East end around Spitailfields and Whitechapel. Now they have spread as far afield as New Zealand and America. I am living in London, it would be interesting to discover where you are all from. As for the Ralston brothers, one of them Joseph was my Great great grandfather and the other one my great great uncle, who was your great uncle. I also have a picture of Emmanuel that i found on a family tree. I also love the fact that my ancestry goes back to Portugal, i have been there several times and i love it, some people even thought i was Portuguese as i have dark features and olive skin.

Lemontreebrand. I would love to see your photos of the Ralston brothers, is it Ralston or Royston, seems to be a difference of opinion? Tried to google them but couldn't find out any information. I also have a picture of them, i will email you.

Josey - would be interested to hear your knowledge about the Ralston brothers, will email you too.

Barlow58 - Yes would definitely like to see your photos, my email address is ziamusaphia@hotmail.com

Jarret - would love to see your family tree. I will email you too.

Carol - I have your mum's name Jacqueline on my family tree, is this information correct, i got it from another tree... Jacob (Jack) married Ethel May Staples b 1905 London d 1973 Westerham Kent, they had 3 daughters...One was Jacqueline b July 10th 1933 in London, she married someone with the surname Withey, they had 2 children, are you one of the children? I will email you soon, love the name of your email address!

Looking forward to getting in touch with you all to share knowledge and photos, seems many of us all stem Aaron Jacob born 1812 in Amsterdam!

The Royston Brothers Joseph and Emanuel did not emigrate to New Zealand. Solomon, Known as Sidney, son of Joseph Musaphia, was the one who emigrated to New Zealand. Joseph Musaphia, Sidneys son is living in Wellington, NZ He is a playwright and radio personality. I visited the NZ family and have all the family data.

Hi I'm also Musaphia family. I've been in touch with Mandy Janes. My family were the Musaphia's who went to South Africa. They changed their name at some stage to Moss.My grandfather was Mossie. His parents were Aaron and Leah Musaphia. He was born in Spitalfields in August 1910. He had a brother in South Africa Jack also Moss. I think when my mom was in primary school her name was still Hilary Musaphia. I've seen Mandy's family tree but everyone has the same name so it's so difficult to see how we are related.
