I am wondering if you have had any further information on Jane Oliver nee Rice? I have a Jane Rice appearing in the 1841 Scotland census with one of my family members and she may be the person you are looking for. However I would need her death details to confirm. Have you seen her death certificate?
Ellen
Dear Ellen, Hi. Sorry I don't have her Death Certificate, but it's very likely that a distant relatives has it.
If you feel certain it is the same family based on family tales of emigration to NZ and/or spousal surnames being the same, perhaps you could purchase cert from Dept Internal Affairs - NZ BDMs
Alison
from OZ.

Hi,
I am in Australia. I have just discovered that an ancestor is buried in the Catholic Cemetery Panmure. Do you know if I can search online for this grave site? Are all the graves stones still standing? He was buried in 1895.
Thanks,
Julie-Ann
Hi Julie-Ann,
I presume you are talking about the St Patricks cemetery, corner of Church St & Sunset Rd, Panmure
If you ask the Panmure branch of NZSG for help, better yet join up, you will find their help invaluable.
They also have a site NZSG Panmure - have a look around
Thanks very much - I will check out both sites. I am keen to see if any information is written on my ancestors gravestone.
Julie-Ann

The above correspondence says Agnes Oliver died 12 Oct 1935 and buried at Waikaraka cemetery.
I can find no reference to this grave at Waikaraka. Nor anywhere else. Can someone point me to the source of this, please?
Did she marry and was buried under another name?
I am in Auckland: does anyone still want headstone or other lookups?
Terry Montgomery
Hello Terry,
Agnes first married Richard Wilson Rathbone (1830-1885) in 1874. He is buried at Pompallier Cemetery, Auckland.
She next married John Roberts of Huntly (1845-1930) in 1904. He is buried Hillsborough, Auckland.
Agnes (Roberts) died 12 Oct 1935 and is buried Area 1, Block F, Lot No 139B, at Waikaraka Cemetery, Onehunga.
Thank you, Ngaire.
I must get a photo of the grave next time I am at Waikaraka. Maybe the same day I will get John Roberts' headstone; it is in the same direction.
