I get so far and loose track. I would like to find some relatives from some where that iv never meet. I am 16 and very curious of where i originate from. i haven't been very successful. HELP!

First of all I have a daughter who is 18 and I would stroke to see her pic up on one of these research sites. I am a genealogist who lives in Texas and I have researched many of the Ward families especially those of Cherokee heritage. One of my many grandmothers back was Nancy Ward and she was the daughter of Five Killer and Tame Doe, she married a Ward; they were Cherokee.
I have many friends and family members that are closer to the Ward line than I. Are you of Native American heritage? Just remember the blond hair means nothing this day and time. Just how much and how far have you researched back?
I might could help walk you through some of your past if you would like. Do you have any idea where your ancestors were from? Start by checking Georgia, the Carolinas and the other southern states. Many ended up in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. Is this a school project or something? My kids nearly choke when genealogy is mentioned. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
