I am Bernie Parsons, son of George Sr. and Opal Kidd Parsons. My parents were from the Big Branch area off of Little Mud Creek, in Floyd County, Kentucky. They had eight children, including me.

In 1969, our mother and the five younger siblings moved from Martin, Floyd County, Kentucky, to Flatwoods in Greenup County, Kentucky.

I am trying to trace ancestry back through the four grandparental lines: paternal surnames are Parsons and McKinney, and the maternal names are Kidd and Case. I have pretty good information back through my great-grandparents on both sides, and have corresponded with people who gave information that they believe to be accurate, going further back on some of the lines.
