Dear Tonkin, thank you so very much for the info!!!!
Thank you MichaelStJohn.
Hope someone from these family lines will assist you with further information.
i think i mite be able to help as gladys lillian peach is my husbands grandmother.
Dear Barks, ( for BARKER perhaps??)
Have only just seen your post. I've been waiting on a Gordon Macrae to come back to me for about 3weeks. This Gordon must be very closely related to your hubby. I'm 54 but my two older sister's recall visiting Gladys around the Shepparton area. I'm told that my parents alsp spent some time in Mooroopna.
So I'm the grandson of John Loftus Peach ( 1904 - 1970 ) the older brother of Gladys.
I'm interested in any info you can give me on Alexander Charles BARKER & Gladys children/grand children. I have another brother of Gladys, Thomas ( 1915- ? ) marrying a Nena BARKER in 1935. I've suspected that Nena may have been the sister of Alexander. Do you have any info on them?
I very happy to share with you the details of my grandfathers descendants + a copy of Thomas Peach & Matilda Christina Shaw's ( the parents of John L, Gladys and Thomas) marriage cert of their marriage 16/12/1903. Thomas and Matilda both died 1931 and are buried at Echuca in an unmarked grave.
I live in Morwell. My email is mstjohn58@gmail.com. I will be in Melbourne from today for a few days. Hope to hear back from you.
Regards,
Michael

I've sent you a private message.
If you don't get it my e-mail is in the above post of 3/5/2012.
Would be great if you would contact me.

Michael
Well i don't know. What's the point of people replying once, without any reply to further info?????
Both "Barks" & "sutty" you need a smack, to put it Very lightly!!!
Glad to see your still at it michaelStJohn.
It's sometimes best to contact members by PR as they don't always come back to have a second look at journals. Also remember 'barks' and 'sutty' were not contacted by FTC direct because you responded to them through my journal.
Send 'barks' and 'sutty' a private message and see what happens.
Cheers.
Doreen Mary Sutton, nee PEACH died 16/11/1991 and is buried at Fawkner Memorial Park, Melbourne.
Isabella Jessie RUDOLPH , nee PEACH & her hubby, Francis are both buried at Tongala Cemetery, Vic.
Alma Jean Robinson, nee PEACH died 1941 at Griffith, NSW. Her hubby Hector died 1992 at Albury, NSW.
Archie Campbell died 1980, both he and Hilda Maggie are buried at Williamstown Cemetery, Vic.
Kenneth Charles PEACH died 1982 in NSW.
Yes Michael you are quite right, very rude of me really. Actually been away for a month . Was also a bit unsure of where to next, I dont have alot of family info to share really. Doreen married John/Jack Sutton and they had 3 daughters Lillian, Valerie ( my mum) and Dorothy. All passed away since 2006. My aunt Dorothy was very interested in family tree on both sides of her family and did some research in the 1980's for a while . She never made much progress with the Peach side , in those days she was using microfiche records from the library and paying for copies of certificates from reg. office. I commented to someone after finding info on this site how she would have been so excited at how easy it all is now. My family were under the impression that Mathilda had been adopted as there apparently had been no talk of her parents as far as my grandmother had remembered and yet somewhere in her searching my aunt found obtained photos of 2 elderly people she thought may have been Mathilda's parents and also a photo of Mathilda. I also vaguely had the idea that Aunt Dorothy had been going to contact either your Mum or aunt for information back then. Dont know if that is where she got photos from or if they were from Jessie Rudolph. I also have a photo of my grandmother Doreen and your grandfather Jack when they were very young about 2 and 4 years of age. I would be happy to send you a copy if you dont have one. Anyway that all for now I will keep in touch and in the meantime try and sort through what I have that may be of interest.
All the best
Sutty
Hi Sutty.
I'm sure Michael will forgive you.
Not sure about Barks!
Hi Sutty.
I'm sure Michael will forgive you.
Not sure about Barks!
Hello Sutty.
All is forgiven and sorry about that. This research can consume you!
I've got almost 300 "Peach's" in my tree and am very happy to share with anyone.
ANYTHING you have would be great. Perhaps you could contact me via e-mail? It's above.
Have just returned from Melbourne taking photos of of my parents, plus John ("Jack") & Ruby's plaques.
Hope to hear back from you.
Gee I'd forgive Barks even!
Much kinder regards,
Michael
Thanks Tonkin & Ps I'm working ( slowly )on the Peach WWI & WW2 records.
According to his marriage certificate, Vic 205/6452 ( If I've picked the right numbers from the cert!) Thomas was born at Lake Albacutya, Vic. He was 36 when he married Matilda. He was living in Macarthur, Vic ( in 1903 ) and was a butcher. So just maybe he was born in 1865/1867. To give this some support his sister Elizabeth according to to her Vic birth cert, 1871/213, who was born 1871 gives both Thomas age as 6.
Thanks again Tonkin.
Michael
