Peart family in Victoria, Australia

Journal by kew19mary

I have Benjamin Peart b.1803, d. 1878 married to Catherine Franks on the 20th April, 1828, they had Benjamin, Charles, Catherine, Lucy Sarah, Elizabeth, Sophia, Emma. I believe that some of Benjamin Senior's family came to Victoria, they had a grand daughter Elizabeth Marshall stay with them in London, she was 6 years old and from Melbourne, Victoria. This is the 1871 census the information comes from. I am seeking information about this family in Victoria, if anyone can help that would be great, Cheers, Robyn

Started family researching in 1985, now retired so more time to research all my families. Some family names are Webster, Miller, Monett, Nelson, Clarke, Powell, Richardson, Roper, Manser, Peart, Arbrew, Moloney to name a few of the main ones at this time.

Benjamin Crosb MARSHALL (aged 24 years) and his wife Mary Elizabeth PEART (aged 23 years) arrived in Melbourne on the "Roxburgh Castle" in March 1864.

There is only one child recorded in the Victorian births for Benjamin and Mary.

Elizabeth Ammett Phoebe MARSHALL.
Born 1865 in Melbourne.

These are the only details I could locate and hope it's the right family.

Thank you so much, this information does tie in with what I already have. Mary Elizabeth was born abt 1842,but she was only named as Elizabeth Peart. Elizabeth Marshall being born 1865 in Melbourne fits with the information on the census.
This is much appreciated, I will try to find further information now regards what happened to this family. Happy to share any information I have regards this family if anyone wants it.
Much appreciated, Robyn
