I am currently researching any links between my grandfather , Malcolm Pinkerton mccallie , from the South East of Scotland to a Malcolm c Pinkerton , the only person of this name has a gravestone in Cook country Illinois , the only other info I have on the Malcolm c Pinkerton I have is he would of been in the us army post ww1 based in Germany , part of the second division , and was pretty good at horse riding

Who ever he was , he must of had some sort of influence on my family as my grandfather was named after him

Hi, it might interest you to know that there is a small village in country NSW Australia called Pinkerton. Could that mean your ancestors might have got to Aust too.? Could be worth checking the NSW BDM which can be viewed online to help with your research. Good luck. Lori
