Pinnock name origin

Journal by Dave Calladine

Pinnock, Pennock or Penn

Believe it or not, Pinnock, Pennock or Penn all have the same root, that of the Celtic word for a hill, Penno.
Perhaps my own Clan, the Pinnock's were living on a smaller hill than the Penn clan occupied.
