POI WAKA HOHUA from Ruatoki (My grandfather)
Hi there my name is Sha TAHERE(nee KOMENE) I am in the process of doing my whakapapa. My dad is Grant KOMENE and my mother is Margaret HOHUA. I am wanting to do the whakapapa for my grandfather his name is POI WAKA HOHUA. He is from Ruatoki. My grandmothers name was Bertha Brown. I never really knew my mothers family on the Hohua side as I was always close with my dads family. I am pretty sure his marae in Ruatoki is PAPAKAINGA. My grandparents had 7 children in total starting from the eldest: Angeline, Margaret, Edward, Len, Peter, Anita and Sam. If anyone has any knowledge of the HOHUA FAMILY please let me know

I mite even know the person since its a pretty small town. But yea im from Kaikohe, pretty much grown up there most ov my life. But lived in Whangarei for the last 4.5yrs.
