Polk B. Suddarth

Journal by OSU_BULLET

I am looking for information, regarding a Mr. Polk B. Suddarth. He was the brother of, the late Fannie M. Suddarth- Smallwood. Furthermore, he was the Uncle of, my late Aunt Ruby R. Smallwood- Fleener.

I have found that, Polk was born in Tennessee on August 19, 1914. He passed away, in April 24, 1995, in Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana. I have also found, the names of many of his siblings. Most of which, are probably mispelled, and are nick names at that.

Their names are as follows: Louisa Suddarth- Steinberger- Lambert, Emmea Suddarth- Zorn (female), Ham Suddarth (male), Awk Suddarth (male), Lucian/Lucien Suddarth (male), Gally Suddarth (male), and Fannie M. Suddarth- Smallwood.

I did find that, Polk is buried in New Crown Cemetery, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His brother Gally, was supposedly buried there as well. However, according to, New Corwn Cemetery, no other Suddarths, with that last name are buried there.

At the very least, I would like to find the names of their parents. It would be so very helpful. Thank you in advance. Beth

Hello, Polk's mother is Janie Refro and father is James Hardy Suddarth. Other siblings are Gallie 1899-1954, Wilkes Hammond "Ham", 1901 1980, Fannie Mae 1905-1997, Lucian 1911-1962, Louisa 1917-2005 and Emma Gladys 1920-1991. Janie and my great grandfather, George Renfro, were siblings. Hope this helps. I live in Sumner County, Tennessee. Just across the hills from Bushes Chapel, where Hardy and Janie are buried.
