Hilea Oscar Prince was my great-grandfather on my mohter's side. I was adopted and found my birth parents before they passed away. Since then, I have been researching my biological ancestors. This is what I have on him. He was born 3-31-1884 in Hopkinton, NY. He married Hazel Belle Parker on 8-1-1903 in Nicholville, NY. He died on 8-12-1963. He is buried at Fort Jackson Cemetery in Hopkinton. They had 5 children. John W., Ethan A., Hiram O. (died at age 24), Izora, and Ray. 1920 Census: he owned his home in Hopkinton. His occupation was in the wheel wright industry. 1930 Census: He rented his home. He lived on a farm in Hopkinton. 1940 Census: Does not live on a farm. Still in Hopkinton. His occupation was a woodcutter. He was self-employeed. He worked about 60 hours a week. Highest grade completed in school was 5th grade.
