NOTES -

JOHN KING has been identified as Eurasian (Anglo Chinese). He married twice whilst operating a hotel in Levuka, Fiji in the 1860s to 1870s. His first spouse JULIA SAKROOS bore him a son RICHARD KING. Richard married Mary Trask, daughter of American sailor George Trask.

John's second spouse SARAH PICKERING bore him a second son GEORGE KING. George married Elizabeth Brown, a daughter of one of the Brown settlers (possibly Oliver Brown or Thomas Brown).
