which country Peterson?
Last places l know of was Braybrook when l was little.
Plus Geelong with my Mother Shirley Veronica (McKenna) Chapman
Then there was a hospital or special place for men only in Willianstown he was dieing of cancer.
That was roughly 2006 when he died.
All this is situated Victoria Australia.
They are buried together in plot 1076 at Footscray, Peterson
Your mother was 32 and was buried there. Your father was 68 and his ashes were added
Thankyou very much now if only can get information on more about him in the line of is parents and his and brother and sisters.
Ngairedith can't Thankyou enough for that information.
If you can provide his parents & siblings names, his birth date and / or place of birth etc - any snippets you have - it would be a great help and I could find info more quickly for you
I think he was born in Geelong, l have been informed he had a brother called Ross supposably living in the Bairnsdale area. Roderick my father was born 1938 going by his age month cannot help you there.
My father left the family sometime after my Shirley my mum gave birth to my little brother that was 1960
I grew up in Braybrook Victoria there was Mum,Dad, Barry,Noel, Ron,Diane myself then Philip
This is all I,m able to tell you sorry.
Peterson, they married in 1948 so Roderick would not have been born in 1938. Shirley was born in 1928, so guessing he was around the same age. Also, if the records show he was 68 when he died he couldn't have died in 2006 - more like 1996. Have a deeper think on that :)
Thank you for the other names, they will be of help
If you want more details and l,m not 100% on all in My Herritage Family Tree under Heather Chapman

good idea doing that update with children and dates Heather
Heather, I asked tonkin to help. He is the "Expert Melbourne Researcher" on this site and sure enough, he has just sent me a message to say your father Roderick died 7 April 1995. He was cremated at Altona Memorial Park Cemetery, Victoria and his ashes interred with wife Shirley
Because he was recorded as being aged 68, that means he was born about 1826/27. I know you said he was born in Geelong. If tonkin has time he may also find that info too
A big break-through for you
Wow l,m so happy cannot thank you and the Expert so much
Have not confirmed if this is your Rodrick (Roderick) but his year and place of birth seems to tally with details to date.
