Hi Silvervixen..Thankyou very much for the info..but im not sure some of it is right..You said that my grandparents married in Germany in 1914 but that would mean my grannny would have been 13/14 when she married? my dad was born in Cologne in 1921..And my uncle was named Lionel which must have been after my grannys brother..What i don't understand is why my grandfather was in Germany all threw the war!

Hi It does seem very odd and having had a second look the transcription may be wrong. On the record for Ernest it states 1914 - 1925 but on Olive's only 1914. However looking at the original image I can see that Olive's also states "Army Marriages within British Lines 1914 - 1925. Also interesting when you look at the original Dulcie married a Mr Merridew. My guess and it would be a guess is that Emil took the family to Germany and Olive & Dulcie met and married British soldiers. If you want to send me a PRIVATE message with your email address I will send you the information. to do this click on my name and then contact this way only I can see your email address.
