Journal by viking

I am seeking any help, tips whatsoever to try and trace my grandfather
who i believe to have been a canadien soldier in WW1 stationed in England 1916-17,i believe his name to be George Rosebush.I know all my mothers family tree on my grandmothers side, dating back 500 years in England, but nothing about her fathers side,i also know all my mothers grandmothers side of the family emigrated to Canada in the 1880s,they were the Mills and Chilvers and i believe the Milburn`s also went, they all originated from the north of England,Yorkshire and Northumbria.
