Hello,

I am looking for any information that may assist is filling in some unknown ancestors that moved to the USA from Russia (Interdorf, Saratov, Volga).

My grand father is Pete Rutz, he is the youngest son of Henry (Heinrich) Rutz (b1856-d1907) and Maria Katherine Rutz (Miller). Henry also married and had children with Katherine Elizabeth Miller; both daughters of Andrew Miller and Christine Hinkle.
Henry and Maria Katherine left Russia in about 1899, they moved to Argentina, and then to Canada, before arriving in the USA. My grandfather, Pete was born in 1906 shortly before Henry passed in 1907. Maria Katherine then married a man with the last name of Pister.

I’ve been able to trace Henry’s father to Johann Jacob Rutz II who may have been married to Christine Lisman. And Johann Jacob Rutz I.

This is where my information becomes sparse. I’ve done some digging on the Volga German websites and have found many other Rutz’s, but can not factually connect any other ancestors.

Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated.
