Well Mary Caroline married a chap called marcus Barak. They married when she was quite well on I age for those days. He was a gambler, jeweller and general character. She left him bit not before they had three children - Monte, Gertrude and Victor.
She took her three children up to Taranaki and taught in a school there as headmistress. Monte went to the boys college and got a Rhodes scholarship. This took him to Oxford where he did chemistry. He worked for Exide as a battery chemist and wrote several papers.
He married Joespine Pollit and they had two children one of whom I married. Nigel the youngest of the two and I came to NZ in 2002 and have now been living here for eight years.
Gertrude also followed to the Uk and did not marry but had a lovely time and is remembered by her nephew as jolly and always laughing.
Not sure about Victor.
Have more details if anyone interested.
