I would like to find out the parents of David Nicoll born 1780/1790 or thereabouts. He married Bryce Barrie in about 1812. One of their sons was GEORGE GRIFFITH NICOLL and he was my three times removed grandfather. He married Mary Anne Anderson (parents David Anderson and Sophie Anderson (nee Elder). David was born in Denmark and Sophie in Gothenberg, Sweden. George and Mary Anne settled in Spitalfields, London, where George became a policeman after service in the navy.
I am also searching for relatives of Patrick Ramsey born Newburn, Northumberland, 1790 and his wife Sarah Purslow born in Shawbury, Shropshire.
