searching for Pfeiffer of Montgomery county NY

Journal by casac

Looking for Pfeiffer fam originally from Germany, later to live in Montgomery/Albany County NY. Henrich Pfeiffer, (Phyfer, Peypher, Payfer), paid for release to come to the New Land 1709. With him were 2 persons over the age of 10. His wife, Catherina, and a child, Andreas, (Andre), Pfeiffer

Andreas was confirmed on 23 Mar 1712 at Queensburg at the West camp Lutheran Church. He was a member of Schoharie Lutheran church circa 1744. He was a patentee at Stone Arabia. He married and had at least 6 children.

Among the children was Henrich, Henri Paul, who married Marie Catherine Ethier in Ste Genvieve QB, CA 2 Feb 1761.

Another child, a daughter, is believed to have married Andreas Wever and had a son John Wever born before 26 May 1763.

yes, i have been to the LDS site. Thank you for the suggestion however. We have a family history library nearby and I hope to get there next week to see if they can offer any suggestions or answers. My brick wall is so thick, it would make the Great Wall of China look like a matchstick by comparison. I am not 100% convinced I am following the correct Andreas Pfeiffer. Dates and location match up with a French magazine article that was translated for me, but his wife and children do not. The 2 children in my original post are not the ones from the LDS info or other sources. As is ofter the case, the church and county records for the era I am researching have burned I think his wife, from the magazine article, is the key to the puzzle, but can't find any info on her. I think I will post her as one of the families I am researching to see if I get any bites. I have documentation up to Henri Paul so I know I am on the right track as far as his generation.

I welcome any other suggestions. Thank you again for responding
